Privacy Policy

What we collect
Only what you choose to give us: your name, email, phone number and message when you send an enquiry, ask about a product, or send us an estimate from the pricing calculator or a layout from the Pool Finder; the address you type into the Pool Finder; and your name, email, phone number and what you bought when you order online.
What we do with it
We use it to answer you. Enquiries arrive in our team inbox and we reply from there; nothing is emailed to you automatically. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we never sell or rent your details.
Paying online
Card payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number. Your cart is kept in your own browser until you order, and is not sent to us before then.
Pool Finder addresses
The address you type is sent to our map provider, Mapbox, to find it and show the satellite view. It only reaches us if you press “Send my layout”, which sends it to us with your contact details and a picture of your layout.
Website analytics
We count page views, how far people scroll and how long they stay on a page, so we can see what is useful and fix what isn't. This uses no cookies, and we don't use it to identify anyone.
Where it is kept
This website, our enquiry inbox, our online orders, card payments and the map are run for us by service providers, some of which store data outside New Zealand. They hold it only to provide those services to us.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@poolland.co.nz or call 03 365 6414, and we will respond within 20 working days, as the Privacy Act 2020 requires. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
